Karla's husband Jason packs his bags and leaves, claiming to be in love with someone else. His words crush her, and the stable mom loses her grip on reality as her life turns upside down. I know that's a short synopsis, but I really can't say much else without seriously spoiling the book. I mean this in the best way possible, but reading this book was like watching a car crash. You know you shouldn't, but you can't turn away. The relationships in the book were all dumpster fires. Everyone is so incredibly flawed, minus Karla and Jason's kids.
