Wild Love by Elsie Silver

Something about this book altered my brain chemistry. It’s that good. I’m not really a big fan of billionaires in books but Ford is the exception to that. He is so grumpy, and I love how Cora and Rosie burst right through that and love him anyway. The banter in this book is top notch. I was cracking up at all of the emails sent back and forth between Ford and Rosie. I also really loved that Elsie Silver didn’t write yet another brother who was mad about his best friend falling for his sister. We love a supportive king.

Yes Daddy by Jonathan Parks-Ramage

I had a hard time with this book, mainly because I’ve had a lot of friends in relationships like this in the past. I know firsthand that the relationships and scenarios were accurate. I was really interested in the first half, but the second half felt like a completely different book. The ending definitely didn’t make sense with everything we learned in the first half of the story. I know this review is vague, but it has been a week or so since I finished this and I’m still not even sure how I feel about it.

Unfortunately for me, I didn’t feel like I got any of that. The first problem lies within the setup of the relationship. Amara and Cal meet in a club, fall in love after like 2 hours, and go back to his place before Amara realizes that Cal is the new CFO that her dad just hired for their family’s winery. He calls her a party princess, she storms out, and fast forward to five years later, when they’re both still holding onto that. How have you seriously not gotten over that one interaction in the span of FIVE YEARS?  Second, Cal hates women. You can’t convince me otherwise. When he was trying to prevent Amara’s father from giving her the company, he ONLY talked to her father, shook his hand, and plead his case with him. He paid no attention to ...
